Our Story

Our story is driven by the nordic climate, where autumn colds always arrive too soon and summer warmth arrives too late.

Over the last 10 years I have worked in numerous high-level positions where etiquette requires a formal business dress. Dressing formally almost always meant that I was bound to feel cold. That’s an eventuality when living in a Nordic country. Talking to colleagues and friends, I realized that I was not the only one.

So, it was a matter of time that I started looking for solutions to create formal dresses that would help keep warm during the cold autumn and winter days. That’s how I got introduced to the fine knitting technologies and the idea for Arctic Affair was born.

Today we develop fine knitwear in cooperation with partners in Italy. When choosing the yarns we make no compromise. The resulting garment needs to be so soft that it can be worn on naked skin and hold shape that is needed for formal wear. To make sure our customers are pleased, we choose only the yarns of the world’s finest quality.
